Ah, not so. The Germans (Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Mercedes) and the Swedes
(Volvo, SAAB) all use drain tubes when necessary.
For instance, in a sunroof equipped car. They know that SOME water will get
past the sunroof seal - it's inevitable. So they equip the car with drain
tubes running down into the nether regions of the car. The difference is,
they usually run the tubes ALL the way out, with the end sticking out of the
body somewhere, rather than just dumping it into a closed body section,
counting on tiny body drains (that always clog) to carry the rust-feeding
fluid out!
