I know I've mentioned this before, but British Wiring in Illinois makes great stock wiring harnesses for our cars. In the case of Alpines, they offer one harness to fit the Series I and II, separate versions for the Series III, IV, and V. I know it involves completely rewiring the car, but it may be worth it.
