Good morning all:
I bolted up a new inlet manifold on my SV to accomodate my new Weber. When I
removed the original manifold, I noted on cylinder four only, there was a ring
which fit into the inlet port. It is made of springy metal, perhaps 3/8'
wide, not a complete circle to allow it to compress. I could not get it back
in so the manifold would seat, so I did not install it (especially since the
other cylinders did not have it). The obvious questions: What is it? Is it
important? Will my tail pipe now fall off at 60 MPH?
All thoughts appreciated, thanks.
