It's just a joke. I think when Scotty first wrote about an exception, there was
nothing available in a sticky compound.
Now there are at least the "race" compounds available.
Bill Kim seemed to have done fine on his "race" 17" Hoosiers
in Topeka this year.
I personally haven't looked into 18" availability, but if Hoosier
is sell a sticky 18" it might render the request for relief moot.
It is a shame that a BFG 18" is still vaporware/Huck & CHuck product (now that
IS a low blow).
