G-Force 225/50/14 fit on 91 MR2

Since I was already having trouble with my front tires rubbing the struts on
my 1991 MR2 Turbo when running 225/50/14 R1s,  with about 2.75 degrees of
negative camber, will the new G-Force tires be even worse, since the cross-
section is listed at about 1/10 inch wider than the R1?  Any personal
experience with the new tires would be appreciated.  Do I need to go with the
205/55/14 on the front to avoid undue rubbing?
