I just *undid* this fix, after the bushings literally ate off the teflon
tape and left me with bushing to metal (and the noise to go with).  Tho
these bushings are grooved, to hold the lube I'd guess, so they chewed away
pretty thoroughly at the tape.  Believe my Pinto tape is still in place, but
haven't looked (and too late now, just delivered it to the SD Auto Museum
for an extended stay).
