I don't know if anyone is interested, but just in case -- there is a
list of all of the remaining '99 BMW M Coupes on the web. Its an

To summarize, there are 34 in the US and 1 in Puerto Rico. Only one (in
NH) doesn't have the power moonroof. 7 of the 8 colors are available
(yellow is the only one missing). BTW, based in the VINs, it looks like
they made way over their estimate -- the lowest VIN on this list is
60067, and mine, one of the first delivered here in the Bay Area, is
60266. So that's a very early car. I think they started at 60000. The
highest on this list is 61103, indicating that they made over 1100 of
these things for the '99 model year. And in case anyone is wondering:
the black and dark beige interiors are monochrome. All of the others
are two tone, black and the indicated color.
The '00 models are already in the showrooms. Only difference: chrome
rings around the headlights.
