Here in Houston we have many "pick-a-part" salvage yards that you can go
get the part you need from a similar car. I have a '83 RX7 and a Datsun
1600 with a 12A. I got a "new" carb and several misc. parts (steering
wheel, etc.) for $30. A complete GSL-SE rear end for LSD and disc brakes
for $60. I put a 13B carb on one of the 12A's and then matched up the
intake to the larger carb. It's the only low buck way to go other than
making friends with a road racer (work pits for him/her) and beg for cast
offs.
