For those of you living west of Salt Lake City, and planning on taking
I-80 through Utah to get to Topeka, the freeways in Salt Lake are still
a mess.
If you come down I-15 from the north, take the I-84 exit south of Ogden,
avoid the Salt Lake area entirely.
If you come up I-15 from the south, take the I-215 belt loop to the east,
then north along the mountains and then onto I-80 Eastbound.
If you come in from the west, just past the airport take the I-215 South
exit, and go the "long" way around the belt route, south, then east, where
you'll soon find yourself on the route above.
If you really need to go through the downtown Salt Lake area, may god have
mercy on your soul, or at least your trailer.
