The following is an announcement from Katie Elder, NORPAC Solo II
Divisional Steward:

The 2000 NORPAC Solo II Divisonal series awards will include a special
trophy to be granted the Fastest rookie entrant at each of the three events
in this year's Divisional series. The winner at each event will be
determined using the PAX index. To qualify as a Rookie you must (1) enter
and (2) notify Katie of your rookie status. Rookies will be defined to be
those entrants who have never competed in a Divisional prior to year 2000
and whose region verifies this to be their first or second year of region
competition.

In addition, those rookies who notify Katie of their rookie status and
enter two of the three events in the Divisional Series will be eligible for
the Kumho NORPAC Rookie of the Year Trophy. Points will be based on
standings using the PAX index and those that compete in two out of the
three series events. (Series events are SFR-Sac Chapter Jun 17-18, The
Seattle National Tour in July, and Snake River August 12-13.)

You can notify Katie using the address rookie@nars.com.

Note: for those rookie competitors who enter the SFR divisional (hosted by
Sacramento Chapter) Katie will provide a special divisional orientation
session at the event site Friday night.

We want rookies to know that while there is no special rookie class they
may compete in, they are most welcome and encouraged to enter. A
divisional may seem a little intimidating, but we can fix that!

ENTER TODAY! contact Ralph@NARS.com, Chief of Registration and all that is
NARS Racing.

And thanks to Kumho for sponsoring the 2000 NORPAC Solo II Divisional Series!
