The Metropolitan Council of Sports Car Clubs (MWCSCC) hosts
most of the events in the MD area. The next event is 13 August at
Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, MD. You can point your friend
to http://www.autocrossers.org

(will have to get on waiting list for 13 Aug), link to the Council's
home page, link to other area clubs' pages, and link to the Solo2
Novice Handbook.
