Anybody know how Cart measures G's?
Kingston, Ontario According to Olvey, Jennings also said that the high
lateral gs experienced in cornering adds to the effect and can be aggravated
by factors like dehydration, fatigue and the duration of exposure to the
g-forces. Subsequent examination of an unnamed team's telemetry (thought to
be Newman/Haas) showed the maximum instantaneous vertical g-load at TMS was
4.33gs, with a sustained g-loading on the banking of 3.36gs and lateral
forces "somewhat" over 5gs.
I still think there is more to the story then just the drivers we all know
that even at the California and Michigan they have problem with rear wheel
bearings and I think there may have been a problem with the carbon fiber tubs
holding up to the stress of those G loads.
I am a bigger fan of cart then the IRL but I would like to see what G loads
they run at the track, ESPN said they where about 10mph faster then the IRL
If I was Tony George I would call all my team owners and say hey lets go to
Dallas next week and honor carts tickets and put on a show for the open wheel
