There will be a Canadian Autoslalom - Western Championship (CAWC) event at Race
City Motorsports Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on June 9/10, 2001.
This is a stand-alone event based on the Canadian National Autoslalom (CNAC)
rules which means that most stock class competitors across the continent will
find they will still retain their classing position. Early entry if $75 CDN/$50
US - penalty of $25 for late entry.

Eventually the Canadian National Autoslalom Championship (Winnipeg, Manitoba
this year) information will also be at thie above web site - Aug. 17-19, 2001.
For the CAWC, out-of-town entries can be entered as late as 5 pm on Saturday to
run on the south portion of the road course (after the motorcycles are off). To
aid in speeding up the event there will be no course marshalling duties on the
Saturday night and it will be a constant flow of runs. Sunday's course will be
a Pro-solo style of course - mirror-image on the 1/2 mile banked oval and
infield. The winning times for the event will be calculated from your best time
on the road course, plus your best time from each of the oval courses (3 times).
This event is intended to be similar in spirit to the SCCA National Tour
events. The event will also feature tickets to the 2-day National Superbike
Races among other things. This is a rare event in that the grandstands will be
full for the National Superbike races on Sunday while we are running in the
oval.
