Hi all -
For anyone looking for some last practice before Nationals, Tri-State
Sports Car Council will be having a Test & Tune and two-day event at
Grissom Aeroplex over Labor Day weekend. There are still spots available
for the T&T and the event.
The weekend will start on Sat with a Test & Tune running from 9am - 4pm.
Sun and Mon will be a two-day event counting as two events for TSSCC
points. You can attend one or both days. Sun will start at the normal
TSSCC event time of 10am. Mon will start 1 hr earlier at 9am to aid in
getting everyone home earlier.
Normal TSSCC entry caps will be in place for the event:
- Max 40 cars for the Test & Tune (multiple drivers will be allowed for
cars, but each driver will be required to pay a full entry fee and work
during the T&T).
- Max 150 drivers for Sun and Mon.
For drivers attending both days, trophies or chits will be awarded based on
combined times for both days (just like a National Tour event).
For drivers attending only one day, trophies or chits will be awarded based
on single day performance against other single day drivers. Drivers
competing in single car classes will be combined into a single RTP/PAX
class for trophies.
TSSCC has reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Kokomo for the
Labor Day weekend event at Grissom. The rate is $59/night for a king or
double bed room. You can contact the hotel at 765-455-2900.
We will be having a pizza party on Sun evening at the Hampton. This will
be free to competitors and their guests.
