A friend of mine from high school has her son (Blake Evans) over
in Fallujah. I offered to get the folks from a "few" automotive
lists to send a note of support to him and his friends/fellow
Marines. So if you have a few seconds, send off a quick note of
support. The subject line must have his mother's name in it
"Julie Butler-Evans."
Regardless of the reasons, it is still Americans over there and
they should know we care. I know on some lists this sort of email
thing happens during the holidays, but I figure we should let 'em
know now, too.

yes... been there since 3/3. he is a sniper with the 1 battalion
5 marines (the 1/5). last heard from via email on 4/2 and then
their computer center was hit with mortar fire, plus he has been
shooting @ people in fallujah for the past 8 days. it is a
suckfest. i know he is well-trained and all that, but those
bastards are sneaky and blow people up without thought and all
the training in the world is useless against a surprise attack.
thankfully, i have not gotten a govt. phone call nor a knock on
the door. but it was hell until yesterday.
but as i said, today i can breathe. and once i hear form him
again, i will really be able to resume normal function. don't
mean to be dramatic. just honest.
chuck rush's boy is over in afghanistan, too. sigh.
