At least "he" had the courtesy to bring a German marque. I remember a
Porsche Club event at Pleasanton in the early '90s. They let two of us, with
SS Corvettes, run. Their format was several runs in the morning for all and
another set of runs in the afternoon. Well' we didn't show until the
afternoon and they were probably sorry to have, generously charged us, only,
half price. First run for a stock Corvette was second fastest time-of-day to
a race prepared 914. I guess I understand why the "marque" clubs. especially
the big bucks marques, don't let the riff-raff run!
