Perhaps a co-driver or an instructor to ride along with you might help you 
find your way around the course.  I've found it helps the learning curve 
immensely.
I'm sure a few of the local members might ride with you and offer tips as 
long as their run groups don't conflict.  Heck, I'd be happy to ride along, 
schedule permitting.
