If I remember right... back in my college days down in San Luis Obispo, I
seem to recall a Cal Mid State Fair where the CHP was showing off one of
these Mustangs. The one they had on display actually had a blown motor
('blown' as in forced air... not as in defunct). I am not sure if all the
CHP-Stangs in the area were blown, but I vividly remember a couple of times
driving between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, looking up in my mirror,
seeing nothing, and then looking back in what seemed like a couple seconds
to see one of these bad boys right behind me.

This was about 12 years ago.

Better off buying a Camaro with the 4BC cop package,
but if you really want a Mustang.

The differences between a stock and copy Mustang are:

a) Bigger alternator
b) Smaller underhood insulation
c) Stronger seat mounts

rumor often had it that the cop version had a stronger
motor, this is not so.

I'd have no reservations buying one, provided the
price is fair. These are tough, cheap to fix cars.
