Hi everyone,
Just wanted to give a friendly reminder to those who are running the
National Tour or ProSolo at Atwater for the first time. The system for
numbering at National events is a bit different than what we use
locally. Specifically, all single-driver cars must use 2 digit numbers
between 1 and 99, and for all 2 driver cars the 2nd driver will run the
same number plus a 1 in front of it. For example my car will be number
72 (co-driver) and 172 (car owner). Nothing says the car owner has to
run last but typically they want to so they can get warm tires.
So all of those who signed up with 3 digit numbers, you can log in to
myautoevents and change them. Numbers are first come-first serve, and
when the even comes around people will grid and run in numerical order
unlike regional events. Better to do it now rather than at the event
because you'll get a wider selection of numbers.
Don't be intimidated- there are minor procedural differences with grid
etc., but plenty of experienced folks will help explain it all to you
and these events are an awful lot of fun and a great experience!
