Listen up if you don't have plans on the weekend of the 25th-27th.
The Reno divisional is coming! Voted the best regional event in the country
last year!!
The site is awesome!! Its the same Reno Stead airport that hosts the "Air
Races" every year. The airport management works in cooperation with the club
to help put on a fantastic event. Even going so far as letting competitors
up into the control tower to take pics and view the site. In addition there
is a huge set of bleachers literally over looking the course layout. I'm not
talking soccer bleachers I'm talking HUGE steeply angled bleachers for the
Air races crowds. We are going to be able to go up into the bleachers and
watch all the racing action. Imagine being able to go up on the bleachers
and see the difference in peoples lines from a near overhead view of the
course!! No where else will you get such good seats to watch all the great
Divisional racing action!
You say there are no hotel rooms, bahh... I'll make it easy for you all.

Room rate $109 per night plus local taxes of another $18 or so.
They have 35 rooms left till the 4th of June. I asked, at first, for just a
room they were going for $395 per night!! Yikes, this is a very nice casino
on par with Vegas, same place the Norpac Convention was held. The Reno
region has done a superb job getting us such a great rate. There are other
cheaper options like staying at the site or non casino hotel and such. If
anyone wants to sleep in my trailer over the weekend with a sleeping bag I
can accommodate ya. There, no excuses!!
I tell you I haven't meet a more fun bunch of fellow racers as they have in
the Reno region I would like to see everyone come down and have a great time
at an awesome site such as the Reno Stead airport and support Reno Regions
efforts for a class A Divisional Event. If ya got beat in Atwater now is the
time for revenge on the SanFrancisco regions competitors, you'll get to run
on the smooth asphalt runway!! Just like back home :-)) I know I want some
payback, hehe. Anyway please everyone come and attend what will be another
fantastic Reno Region Divisional.
