For the trivia question about the SV2....(per OBO update, 4th qtr. 1977)

"Malcolm Bricklin is working on plans for a new $35,000 luxury car and
says he is not going to repeat the mistakes he made with his original
SV-1 car a few years ago.
Bricklin had the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles prepare
some sketches. One of them may be close to the final design of the car.
For a powerplant, Bricklin is considering a turbocharged diesel engine,
probably the 350cid Oldsmobile modified with the type of blower Buick is
now offering on its 231cid.
Bricklin believes there is a small but lucrative market for a car in
the $35,000 price range - a car to offer someone who wants something
different from a Rolls Royce, Mercedes 450 or a BMW620.
He wants to build 2000 a year and hopes to have his new Bricklin on the
market in two to three years, probably as a 1980 model.
The car will have a conventional front engine, rear drive powertrain
and will also have gull wing doors; but Bricklin says they will be
improvements over those used on the SV-1. He says he has a new design in
which the doors are hinged at the center of the roof. He says the design
will feature sliding roof panels.
It could be aluuminum or steel. But if it is a plastic we will have
paint facilities to do our own colors.
        It will be a four passenger car "with luxury room in the rear seat;
your feet won't be squashed if you sit in back."
It will have in this interior things you have not seen in other cars,
like a speedometer in the back seat, and other dual instruments. It will
be no bigger than the Seville-about that size.
The new Bricklin is going to be billed as "a car for the 1980's and
that is why we are looking at a diesel. A turbo-diesel will do 0-60 in
under 10 seconds, which is very respectable.

I hope you found this interesting too!
