Sure, let them ask, and ask, and ask, & ask, & ask, ask, ask....
This can be a double edged sword. If someone sees a Brick advertised for
$30,000 or then they are going to think there car is worth a lot more than
$6,000 to $12,000. They are going to ask $20,000. Then be very disappointed
when they don't get it. And unfortunately, that will not bring the value
of the cars up.

Definately. Same goes for George M.s white car. I believe he got between
$15,500 and his asking of $16,000. Unfortunately, that's too rich for my
blood. Don't have that kind of money all at once. :)

Well, I hope so, but I'm cutting a few corners and not restoring it only
for show, but as my daily driver. For instance, my gas tank is painted
black and not plain galvanized or silver. I probably should have put some
silver over the POR-15. But I want it to last. So far, I haven't been
able to find any seats at a resonable price, so I'll have some bastard
seat.
But that said, I'm not skimping on the workmanship, or the depth or the
work. That I can't do. So will my Brick take best in show, I doubt it,
but if there is a "phoenix" trophy for resurection, I would expect to get
that at least once. :)
You are stupid to do this for the money - my Morgan - I spent about $6,000
doing it. And I had a great car. But to get my National AACA Senior, it
became a matter of throwing money at it. I spent between $4,000 and $5,000
AFTER the car was done, to get it to be a Nation winner. Not to mention
the 1740+ hours of labor in it. So now I have about $10,000 in parts, and
about $35,000+ in labor in a car that is appraised at $25,000. Don't know
if I could get that much for her though.
So far I have, over 1,200 hrs of labor and about $9,500 in the car and parts
or about $35,000 and climbing!! Luckily I don't have to pay myself for my
labor. :)
