Wings and Wheels is listed as an Antique/Classic car and airplane display
and it takes place on Saturday June 2, 2001 from 10-4. It's being held at
Bay Bridge Airport on Kent Island (Stevensville) MD. The airport is easy to
find as it is right next to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
If you are coming from the western shore, I would plan on getting there
early, to beat the bridge traffic.
I called the number listed for information and the person who answered said
that as far as he knew, all you had to do was show up with your car. He said
that he would have someone call me from the Kent Island Cruisers, (the group
organizing the car end of it). I have yet to hear back from them, but as
soon as I do I'll post what I hear.
There were a couple of Bricklins there last year and at least one owner
without his car. This would be a good opportunity for owners in the MD, DE,
Northern VA area to meet. If we could get a couple (or more) cars there to
serve as a gathering point that would be great.
Unfortunately, it's impossible for me to get mine there as it is a long way
from being driveable right now (I would need a trailer and a lot of boxes).
I don't know about the cost (if any). As I get more information, I'll post
it. If you're interested in going, let me know, either through this post or
directly.
