I was wandering around the junkyard looking at various popup headlight
actuators. It turns out that all companies basically use the same method, a
geared motor connected to a rod that's connected to the headlight. The motor
rotates 1/2 turn to either push the headlight up or pull it down. There is
also a knob attached to the motor that you turn to manually raise or lower
the light.

It looks like any of these could easily be adapted to use on a Bricklin
however the best one appears to be from a Mazda RX-7. There are 3 reasons
for this:
1) It is mounted below the light and pushes up (the others are either next to
the light or behind it).
2) The manual control knob points down which would be a lot easier to get to
on a Bricklin (the others point up which would put them under the hood
extension).
3) The existing mounting bracket could also probably be used.

Has anyone else looked into this? Besides the motor and switch, what else
would I need to get? What I'm curious about is what stops the motor after
1/2 turn?
