Well, I hate to say the market still here if not more so. I must
admit I've found myself often wondering about the new 'entry' level 2 seater
Jaguar also occasionally mentioned in Car & Driver. But in today's market,
the cars MUST be reliable to be successful. I doubt many of us will buy
an eggshaped MG unless its something special. Of course I doubt many of us
would consider it a 'real' MG would we? How about MGE (EGG). :-) Also
what would they do for dealers? Sterling dealers I doubt are a good choice.
I don't know.
Anyway I don't know what I think of a new Triumph. God I hope its
not a TR-9!! But as Mark said, I'd go for a updated wedge with the latest,
greatest Range Rover V8 up front, hooked to the back wheels. I imagine
a look something like a cross between the TR7/8 and a RX7. (Sounds like the
old RX7!) Just would hope its not a Probe clone. (God knows it must have those
aero looks today). Guess they should put the wedge in Ford's wind tunnel. :-)
Price? Lets hit the Mustang price range for good value as TRs always did!
