It looks like NASA still hasn't figured out that sending Lucas electrics into space is a bad idea (from this morning's NY Times, entitled "NASA Loses Signal from Telescope Inside Shuttle"): "...The only problem centered on the $150 million Astro-1 observatory in Columbia's payload bay. The signal from one of the observatory's four telescopes was mysteriously lost. NASA spokesmen said the trouble might be in a ground connection to the telescope, not the instrument itself." |
