         It is possible to warp the drums out-of-round as
     you have mentioned by applying the emergency brake 
     immediately after a bout of "spirited" driving, (or 
     whenever the brakes have been used enough to make them
     inordinately hot). When the emergency brake is
     applied, the shoes come in contact with the drum and
     effectively change the ability for this area of the
     drum (shoe contact area), to dissipate heat as compared
     to the rest of the drum area. In an extreme case these two
     areas cooling at different rates could cause the warpage
     you've mentioned. Hope this helps-
