I had a similar problem on my 72 MGB-GT the rear carb was
pouring fuel out of the jet. The problem was the needle was
incorrectly installed. It must be biased to the rear of the
jet. There is a nip in the seat of the needle that provides
the bias, it has a mark embosed into it. I can't remember
it's orientation, I believe the Haynes manual shows it.
