MGB-GT history

    Hi!

I have a lot of questions about MGB GT production.

        -I think the first MGB GT's were built in '66.Is this true?
         When did they stop production?

        -Which engines were available?Anything else than the 
1800cc,straight-4,97hp?

        -Did all the transmissions have an overdrive and 4 gears?

        -When did the ugly plastic bumpers appear?What is an MGC?

Also,if you know a good book on MG's,please tell me (indicate editorand if 
possible ISBN-Number)
