I've also seen a Toyota twin-cam four in a TR4; seemed to go well, but sounded all wrong. There's a guy in the Bay Area who keeps stuffing bigger and bigger Ford V-8s into his TR6. He's gotten pretty good at it -- looks good, seems reliable (he's had something aroudn a 302 in for a daily driver with no trouble for two years, but he's recently put a 350-mumble in) -- goes well in a straight line, brakes OK, but he hasn't quite learned to keep the rear end in place on turns yet... |
