With all this talk about getting better straight line performance out of
a Spit or an MG the people who own Lotus's on this mailing list are
probably smiling.  I've seen a street legal Super 7 dust a guy in
a Vet and then duck down an exit ramp to escape a chasing police officer.

In other words spend the money on a car which is properly designed for speed
like a Lotus.  Trying to make a slower car faster would probably cost a lot
more than buying a car that is designed properly from the start!
