oil burning

Hi:

        I have a tr6 that burns about a quart of oil a week, driven an average
of about 400 miles.  I really don't notice any blue exhaust except in the
morning when it's cold.  I'm pretty sure it's not leaking out since I'm not
leaving too large of an oil stain in the driveway.  Other than the oil
comsumption, the car runs great.  What things should I be checking?
