->Bob "Spitfire racer, soon-to-be" Bownes was seen riding in, as well as
->driving an MG during a refreshing burst of spring Saturday. Despite a
->little difficulty finding a couple gears, and a bit of bump steer as the
->cross breeze caught the flowing wings, the experience did generate the
->expected grin. :-)
Expected grin?!? It was a terrific experience! I'll admit to being
terrified that I'd break something irreplaceable and having an entirely new
respect for people who drove race cars at high speed with no seat belts or
helmets.
It was a bit chilly out there for Zak's first ride of the season,
but once we found my hat again it was all a-ok. I was mightily impressed with
the
way the PA drove. Much better than I expected.
And I did get into the mazda to drive home and try to shift with the
window crank...
