Once when driving my Sunbeam (Alpine Series II), in North
Florida, I had a gas station attendant crawl under the
back to see if it was "one of them VW kit cars" by
looking for the motor.
Once when driving the Bugeye at Graffiti Night in
Modesto Ca., I had a young boy ask me if that was "one
of those furrin cars with the big ummerrican V8 ?" My
friend & I got a good laugh out of that one, cause
Redcar was running at the time, & although it sounds
good, it sounds *nothing* like a V8. But I did tell the
boy that yes, in fact it was such a car.
cheers-
