1992 TRA NATIONAL MEET

1992 TRA National Meeting
 
     Included in the meet for all registered participants are:
Concours, Participant's Choice Show, The Roadster Factory New Parts
Sale, Autojumble Space, Early Morning Run, TR Olympics (including
return of the Erection contest), Photo, Model, and Art Contest,
Parts and Memorabilia Auction, Workshops, Lake Cruise, Awards
Banquet, and MORE.
 
Salt Fork State Park
 
     Scenically located on a peninsula stretching into a 3000 acre
lake, the lodge has all the features of a fine resort including,
indoor and outdoor pools with children's wading pool, restaurant,
snack bar, cocktail lounge, sauna, exercise room, electronic game
room, fudge, and gift shop.
     A 2500' beach, the largest inland beach in Ohio.
18 hole Championship golf course, two marinas provide rental docks
and excursion boat rides, bike rentals, courts for tennis,
basketball, shuffleboard and horseshoes.
Hiking on the park's 14 miles of hiking trails and participate in
nature programs led by a park naturalist.
Babysitting Services are available.
     Camping:  All campsites are class A and have hot and cold
showers and electric hookups.
     PLEASE!!!!!!!  Adequate rooms have been reserved for TRA but
they can only be held until April 18th.  After this date
reservations cannot be guaranteed, and they normally have a waiting
list.  Nearest overflow accommodations are in Cambridge (a 20
minute drive).
 
TR Olympics
 
Sparkplug changing, crank start, parking lot Gymkhana, idle threat,
hotel walking rally, and return of last year's favorite:  "The
Erection Contest".  Two person team timed while erecting hood and
sidescreens during a simulated rainstorm provided by lawn
sprinkler.  Beater car will be provided.
Compete for first place in any event or obtain highest accumulation
of points in all events for TR Olympic Champion.
 
Photo-Model-Art-Contest
 
Share your favorite TR or TR-related artwork, photo, or model.  All
sizes, scales, black/white or color, etc.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Auction
Only Triumph memoribilia and parts in excellent condition will be
auctioned.  This will be a consignment auction with 80% of the sold
price being returned to the person, supplier.  A reserve (minimum)
price may be set on any item.  Auction items should be delivered to
the auction room by Friday, 5 P.M. with owner's name, description
of item, and reserve price, if any.  Contact Bruce Lapierre (216-

Autojumble
 
Flea market space is free to any meet registrant.  Commercial
vendors are welcome but all items for sale must be Triumph or
Triumph related.  Space available on Saturday June 20, 9 A.M.-4
P.M.
 
Workshops
 
Dave Sims of C.A.R. Components, the rebuild division of The
Roadster Factory, will detail the functions of rebuilding a TR
engine properly.  Topics to be covered are when it's time to
rebuild, tolerances for wear, machine or replace, machine shop
functions, assembly, and more.
John Gable, TRA's Head Judge, will review the recently completed
"Concours Manual and Restoration Guide".  These revisions have been
on-going for several years and are at a point of final acceptance.
In addition to outlining originality and quality of restoration for
concours purposes, this manual will also contain information
addressing points of originality not addressed in the concours
rules.  Information covers TR2 through 3B.
 
Car Show
 
Concours:  Each vehicle must move under its own power and pass a
functional test of lights, horn, wipers, emergency brake, etc.
Separate classes for TR2, 3, 3A, and 3B.  Best of show will be
awarded to car with highest points earned.  Cars will be judged
with TRA 100 point scale.  Prior year's Best Of Show winners will
be presented as "Excellence Of Marque".
Participant's Choice:  Classes for TR2-3 and TR4.  Popular vote by
ballot.
 
Banquet
 
This traditional Saturday evening affair will recognize those who
have won Best Of Show, First, Second, and Third Place in TR2, TR3,
TR3A, and TR3B Concours, winners of Participant's Choice TR2, 3 and
TR4 classes, Fred Greenberg Memorial Award and TR Olympics
Champions.
 
 
 
 
Saturday Nite Party
 
After the banquet, the outdoor pool and patio area will be the
scene of the party.  It is spacious enough to provide for just
relaxing and talking TR.  If you prefer more action, D.J. Bruce
will be there.
 
The Roadster Factory Parts Sale
 
2800 square feet of space has been reserved for The Roadster
Factory.  If you can't find the new part for your Triumph here, it
probably isn't available.  Best of all 10% off on all purchases at
