Jag XJ-6 query

A message to the net cogniscenti. . .what is the best year of the XJ-6?  I am
thinking of augmenting my stable with such a beast. .I like the older bodystyle
(85-87)  but also the new one. . which is preferable?  Are there significant
pluses or minuses related to the new engine?
