Again, thanks to all who responded. After checking out the cost of all the
rebuild parts ($60 for new solenoid, etc) and reading the Bentley, I decided
to buy a Lucas-rebuilt unit.
Putney & Perry in Santa Cruz stocks Lucas stuff and actually had a rebuilt
unit on the shelf for $100, beating Moss' and TRF's prices by quite a bit.
So, I'm going the minimum-effort route.

PS The Lucal replacement distributor cap I bought came with aluminum posts,
grr!!! Totally inappropriate for high-voltage applications. mutter...
