I saw one at the TRF Summer Party in 1991 by Parking Solutions. It seemed
to be a great way to add an extra parking space and the unit did not
extend much beyond the single parking space dimensions.

The unit can be used as a hoist/lift and does provide a fair amount of
undercarriage access. The unit only locks in position when fully
raised, but the distributer said he made up 4 corner posts (made of 4x4)
of various lengths to lower the unit onto when he uses the lift for
certain jobs that are better suited to a lower hight.

The unit requires about 8 foot plus a few more inches for clearance
of most sports cars, but you'd best check the specs on each unit you
are considering.
