The brakes are releasing fine.  I'm still kinda thinking that it's
just that I have to get used to the brakes.  

Anybody in Victoria (B.C.) area willing to let me drive their (Spit/GT6) 
around the block for comparison?  For that matter -- is there anybody
from Victoria (save me!) on this list?
