TR6 brake adjusters

Do it right - take them out. They come off the backing plate fairly
easily. Soak them in solvent and take them completely apart. Make sure
that the adjusting part is still square (that's where the "clicks" come
from) and put it all back together with antiseize.

If the adjusting part is no longer square, buy new ones; they're cheap.
