Do take pictures of your frame.  If they do not turn out good enough retake them

Take pictures of all the stuff before & after.    Take losts of pictures at
each stage of the assembley.  When you are done, you will have a record to
show others at field meets.  And you can look back at the tons of work you 
had to do next time you get tempted into a project car.
