Hey everyone interested in Rovers -- especially Land Rovers: Check
out Mark Schirmir's excellent story in this month's *Automobile*
Magazine. It's called "Discovering Iceland," the pun on the Discover
because the author drives a Land Rover Discovery across that vast
continent. The photography is also excellent; I forget who exactly
did took the photos.
Also. look for the Discovery for sale at LAnd Rover dealers in the US
sometime next year. Rover couldn't be enjoting better success here these
days, with the Range Rover selling well, the Defender completely
selling out, the new 90 being begged for by customers, and the Discovery
on the way! MAybe Sterling should capitolize on this success by
again entering the US market, only this time with a legitimate ROVER
badge on it. What do ya all think? The new 800 Rover coupe is being
dearly missed by all of us (if you can find 'em!) Sterling fans.
BRING BACK THE ROVER CARS!! The Jaguar is too expensive for most of us,
and the Rover's cars charm is too good to pass up.
