Well, I did manage to make the trip to the Classic Car show at
Birmingham this weekend and saw some stunning examples of some rare
motors. Highlights for me were some amazing aluminium welded/riveted
E-type bodies, an immaculate 1930's Riley racer and one of the
original racing Healey 100s's, completely unrestored with original
paintwork showing through. Anyway, the attached autojumble provided me
with the few eye openers - mainly to Anglify my US spec TR6. One RHD
dashboard and a complete injection system. I didn't eventually buy
either, but I'm still left wondering about the PI system which was
selling at 120 pounds. I'm not really sure what the availability of
these system is like - does this sound like a lot of money, or should
I give the guy another call?? He said it was in good working order
(yeah right).
Did anybody else go to the show? (I missed the TRF stand Dana.)
Having found myself full of enthusiasm after the show, the following
day I changed my rear springs to 25% uprated - what an amazing
difference!
