A few months ago, the magazine of the TR Drivers' Club here in the UK
described how, when doing a V8 conversion on a 4-cylinder TR7, you can
reuse the TR7 tacho just by changing the value of one resistor inside
it. It's fairly likely that a spit's tacho is very similar (assuming
it's an electronic one that converts pulses from the dizzy into
a current and then measures the current), so do you want me to
dig out that article tonight ?

PS. The club is holding a TR Drivers' day at the Heritage museum
in Gaydon this Sunday (29th May) - any UK list members going ?
