Bill McBride: I have been able to remove the ignition switch by gently cutting a groove in the top of the snap-off bolt then unscrewing the bolt with a screw driver. I have used a cold chisel to cut the groove. Center the chisel on the bolt, give it a sharp wrap with a hammer and there should remain a shallow depression into which a flat blade screw drive will fit. Of course, this works great with the steering column on the bench. Alan |
