 Michel, considering particularly the strain that the weight of a 6-cyl.
 engine puts on the front end, I wouldn't accept any play in either ball
 joints or trunnions. Renewing these parts is quite straightforward.
 If you're lucky, you'll get by with just a new bushing kit for the
 trunnions. If left alone in a warn state, you'll eventually wear an
 oval shaped hole in the trunnion, necessitating its replacement.
 This gets very expensive compared to the cost of the bushing kit.

 Craig, you're right in that most LBC tops have the windows heat-sealed
 in place. Considering, though, the price of new tops ($200-300), it
 might be worth having a good top/upholstery shop stitch in new windows.
 That should go about half the cost of replacing an otherwise good top.
