John Cunningham expresses some concern over fuel injection metering units.

Well, John, rest easy. A mechanical metering unit doesn't need leaded fuel.
The lead in fuel (after boosting the octane) acts to lubricate some of the
hot metal to metal contacts in the combustion chamber. Before the fuel gets
burned, the lead is all bound up in a compound (the tetra-ethly-lead thing)
and has no lubricating properties. Metering units are designed to be
lubricated by the fluid they meter, and yes they are built to incredible
tolerances, tight enough that the presence of a fingerprint on some
components will leave enough corrosion to cause trouble (this is deep
inside the unit mind). That is one reason why they cost so much money
(another is capitalist greed -- but don't get me started on that, they
usually have to sedate me after).

Tim Dziechowski wants to know the displacement of the Rover (ex-Buick) V8,
it's 215 cu in Tim. That Jeep you're gonna look at has a cast iron lump, of
the GM small block variety.

Welcome to the zoo, Craig. I've just got one question. Is that R3454 your
last name, or just your middle initial? ;-) ;-) 

Charlie Farwell has a tight tonneau. Well. Up here in Canada, we use equal
parts musk ox fat, polar bear dung and seal blubber to free things up. The
only problem I see is getting an Inuit (that's an Eskimo, to the
politically incorrect amoung us) maiden to spread the mixture on your....
