Chrome bumbers on late model mgb?

  I was admiring the handsome mgb on the cover of the Victoria British
fall catalog and wishing my 79 had a chrome bumpers and grill.  Has
anyone ever swapped the rubber bumpers with older style chrome stuff?
  Is there any difference between the bodys of late model chrome bumper
and rubber bumper cars that would make it difficult to retrofit the chrome
bits?
