   Depends of what the ticketer "thought" your license-plate said.

   ("Judge, on that date, I didn't own a fiat, and I didn't own any vehicle
   with that license plate.")


My MG was ticketed as a Triumph in Boston once.  I called up the city,
and they said I did not have to pay it.
