Bright dash lights

Somewhere in the distand recesses of my mind I remember that
someone posted that their MG dash lights were dim so they went
to Radio Shack and bought some "XX$#X$^X$#@" bulbs.  Slightly
lower voltage and much brighter.  Would you please tell me what
bulb to ask for?
